Flappy Bird Returns 🐣

Remember Flappy Bird, the iPhone app that took the world by storm in 2014? It's coming back... kinda!

Remember Flappy Bird, the iPhone app that took the world by storm in 2014? If you were living under a rock in 2014, we'll catch you up — Flappy Bird was a mobile game where you need to direct a little yellow bird through an obstacle course by tapping on your screen at the right times. Despite its simple premise, the game was actually really really difficult. Flappy Bird was so difficult that the creator decided to take the game off of the App Store because he was receiving so many death threats. This caused a worldwide outrage back in ole '14 — all of a sudden, people were selling their iPods & iPhones for thousands of dollars on eBay, just because they had Flappy Bird installed on them. Now, 10 years later, we have an update: the so-called "Flappy Bird Foundation" acquired the rights to the game and plans to bring it back. Don't get too excited though... it looks like it's going to be some sort of weird crypto version of the OG game. We miss you, Flappy.

Grimace Saves the Mets ⚾️

Grimace, the purple McDonald's mascot, is officially the best thing to ever happen to the New York Mets. The Mets have always had it rough — they’re like if the Yankees had an ugly sister. Thanks to Grimace, however, the Mets are slightly interesting now. Earlier in the year, Grimace had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at a Mets game. The Mets were struggling pre-Grimace pitch, but afterwards, they went on to win seven games in a row. Fans started showing up to games dressed as Grimace, and for once, the Mets were buzzing. As a way to pay homage to their savior, the Mets have dedicated one horrible nosebleed seat in their stadium to Grimace. Every seat in the stadium is green except for one: the Grimace seat.
